Illuminating Elliora’s Journey
On August 30, 2024, the Geier family’s world changed forever when four-year-old Elliora was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive stage four cancer called Foxo1-positive alveolar rhabdomyosarcoma. Her right lung had collapsed and filled with fluid, her left lung showed masses, and her right hip was affected. The diagnosis was devastating, but Elliora faced it with courage and a bright smile that continues to inspire everyone around her.
In addition to battling cancer, Elliora faces ongoing challenges with low white blood cell counts, spiking fevers, dehydration, and chemotherapy-induced neuropathy (CIPN)—a condition that causes nerve pain and weakness in her hands and feet. Despite these hardships, she continues to fight each day with incredible strength and spirit.
In September 2025, Kids1st had the privilege of meeting Elliora, her mom Jessica, and her brother Tobi. We learned how much discomfort Elliora experiences from her neuropathy and wanted to help make life a little easier. With the support of Billy Shoes, we provided her with two new pairs of specially designed shoes made to support her foot condition. Ellie immediately lit up when she saw her light-up shoes, while Tobi proudly chose a Spiderman truck to play with. Together, they both signed smiley faces on the SmokeTrails Silverado tailgate—a small moment that symbolized hope and happiness amid the challenges.
Later that month, Elliora continued chemotherapy, balancing good days with painful ones. Her mom shared heartfelt updates, describing the emotional ups and downs of treatment while expressing deep gratitude for the love and support they’ve received.
Elliora’s journey is a testament to resilience and the power of community. At Kids1st, we are proud to stand beside her and her family—illuminating the road ahead with compassion, care, and endless hope.
